Need Holiday Gifts?
Project Holiday
Project Holiday is coordinated by Yarmouth Cares about Neighbors (YCAN) with support from Yarmouth Community Services (YCS), the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry, the Lions Club, Yarmouth schools, and numerous local businesses, organizations, and neighbors. The goal of this program is to foster the spirit of holiday giving within the Yarmouth community by connecting anonymous donors with local families who confidentially seek assistance. We join together every year to provide:
- gifts for children (18 and under)
- food for holiday meals
to families that need them during the holidays. If your family will need such items during this holiday season, please submit an Application.

We request that all applications be returned to us by November 5, 2025 in order to give our Elves more time to shop.
Applications are available:
- by downloading the application via the link at the bottom of this page beginning in late October of each year.
- at Yarmouth Community Services, 200 Main Street at the Town Hall.
- Via the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry & Yarmouth Schools.
Completed applications should be returned to Yarmouth Community Services or the Main Office at your child's school.
If you have questions regardingProject Holiday, call YCAN at 844-3517. If you would like an application mailed to you, please contact Yarmouth Community Services (YCS) at (207) 846-2406. YCS is located at 200 Main Street (front left entrance to Town Hall).
How You Can Help?
Annually, Project Holiday provides gifts for more than 100 children and food for more than 75 families during the Holidays, at a time when those families might not be able to provide such items themselves. This would not be possible without generous contributions and volunteer help from people like you – it is truly a community-wide effort!
Project Holiday begins accepting applications for the Holiday assistance in late October, and at the same time also begins to seek volunteers willing to either sponsor a family, purchase gift cards or wrapping paper, or make a donation to YCAN. If sponsoring a family is beyond your means, but you would like to help, consider getting together with family or friends to share the expense and make someone else’s Holidays brighter.
Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please call 207-844-3517 give us your name and telephone number, and we will call you with details about how you can help, or email us at ycan@ycan.info
