In the last Aging in Place newsletter we sent out, we forgot to mention some key contact information about where to send your suggestions for people who do things for the Aging in Place Resource list. Please see the addition to this article in bold below! Wouldn’t it be great to have a list of people who do stuff? We at Aging in Place think so too, and that’s what we’re working on. But we need your help. This is a call out for recommendations. We are looking for people who are trustworthy, dependable, affordable, and may even offer a senior discount. The list is lengthy: painters, plumbers, carpenters, people who shovel & plow, do yard work, appliance repair, house cleaning, and general “handyman” work like changing light bulbs, washing windows, cleaning gutters, trash removal, etc. Many of these would be “for fee” services, while some may be volunteer services at no charge. If you know of people who meet the guidelines, and would like to be included on our list, please contact Yarmouth’s resource specialists, Zany or Dannielle (Zany’s replacement around mid-Sept.) with their name and contact information.
