YCAN offers many programs to Yarmouth residents

You have probably heard of YCAN, but do you know what it means? YCAN stands for Yarmouth Cares About Neighbors. YCAN is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to connect people in the Yarmouth, Maine community with needed resources, and to build community by encouraging volunteerism and collaborating with other community-based groups. YCAN serves as the umbrella organization for a number of needs-based programs serving the Yarmouth community, including the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry, Yarmouth Fuel Assistance and Emergency/Acute Needs grants programs, Aging in Place Senior Program, The Rides Program, Project Bundle Up, Project Holiday and Emergency/Acute Needs Grants.

Every community has people in need and Yarmouth is no exception. From food to heating assistance to winter clothing, rides, aging in place or emergency needs, YCAN is a resource that every Yarmouth resident can count on. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you or someone you know is in need.
