Fall announcements from YCAN

As the days get shorter, we can’t help but turn our thinking toward cooler weather and the holidays. We’ve already started planning for Thanksgiving and winter weather, and we wanted to share two important announcements with everyone.

Operation Bundle Up will begin collections Sept 29th

Now is the time, as you put away summer clothes and replace them winter ones, to pull out any slightly used jackets, boots, mittens/gloves (ideally waterproof), snowpants and scarves to donate to Operation Bundle Up! Boxes will be available at the Merrill Memorial Library on Main St in Yarmouth for you to drop off winter outerware for kids, teens and adults after Monday, September 29, 2025. Alternatively, you can also drop them at the Yarmouth Community Services office in the Town Hall. Please understand they’re looking for items that are new or slightly used with all zippers, velcro and laces working and in tact.

Clothing will be distributed to all those in need of warm winter jackets, boots, snowpants and mittens or gloves throughout the winter. We will also be collecting winter outerware throughout the winter too. Thanks in advance for your donation!

Announcements from the Yarmouth Food Pantry

The Yarmouth Food Pantry would like to let all those qualified individuals and families seeking Thanksgiving and Holiday food baskets know to call the food pantry before November 5th to sign up. Simply call (207)844-3320  and let us know your name and how many people are in your family. All those already qualified through the food pantry are eligible to receive the food baskets over the holidays and will be updated with pick up times.

Additionally, we thank all our friends who’ve donated bags for food distribution over the past few weeks. We’ve now got PLENTY of bags, and are no longer in need.

Thanks to all for all you do to help your Yarmouth neighbors. It takes a village to rise all, and those who’ve been so generous help us find truth in that saying.

Both Operation Bundle Up and the Yarmouth Food Pantry are programs of YCAN.
